Food and Fellowship

  • Kitchen Team

    The kitchen at St. Luke is used by various groups within and outside the church. Keeping it organized and clean is crucial in making St. Luke a welcoming place. Help is needed to organize the food and paper supplies in the kitchen cabinets and pantry. Supplies need to be inventoried regularly and ordered when more are needed. Help is also needed keeping the refrigerators and freezers clean.

    Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month.

  • Funeral Receptions

    A reception is provided for family members and guest following funeral services at the church. Help is needed to call members of the congregation for food donations. serve the food on the day of the reception, set up and clean up the kitchen and fellowship hall, and launder the linens.

    Time Commitment: 3-5 hours on the day of the funeral (usually mid-day.)

  • Easter Breakfast

    An annual breakfast served on Easter morning from 8:30 to 11:00 am provides fellowship for all. Some breakfast items are prepared Easter morning to supplement donated items. Help is needed in setting up and cleaning the fellowship hall and kitchen and in preparing food.

    Time Commitment: 1 morning a year, anywhere from 1 to 5 hours.

  • Advent Festival

    The Advent Festival is an intergeneration food, fellowship and learning event that marks the beginning of the Advent season. There are Advent crafts for children and adults, and we decorate the church for season.

  • Oktoberfest

    Oktoberfest is held on a Friday night in October. We have a band come and play German tunes. This is a great Fellowship event for the adults of St. Luke with food, drink, and great times.
