"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength... Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NIV
St. Luke is proud of our Youth Mission tradition. When youth are engaged in helping the community, they are learning to put aside the self in favor of serving others. Along the way, they are growing closer to God and experiencing the fulfillment of practicing Jesus's great commandment to love our neighbors as ourselves. They are ALSO having fun. Serve with us in the next Youth Mission Trip!
Students participating in a mission trip help raise money for the trip throughout the year.
There are many fundraising opportunities for all different talents and abilities and new ideas are always welcome.
In the spirit of Ecumenical friendship, St. Luke often joins with other local Youth Groups for mission trips. This is an opportunity to meet other Christian youth, learn how others experience Christ, and enjoy fellowship in service.
For more information and details of when this event may resume, contact Pastor Heidi. The past trip for 2022 was to Camp Calumet in NH.
