jOYFUL NOISE

Joyful Noise is an introductory hand chime choir for children entering 2nd and 3rd grade.  Beginning music skills are taught including note reading, rhythmic reading and the difference between melody and harmony.  They participate in worship approximately every six weeks and also the Christmas Eve Family Service. 


They rehearse on Wednesdays beginning in September and ending in mid June culminating in "Hallelujah for Handbells".

Glory Ringers

Glory Ringers is an entry-level handbell choir for children entering grades 4 and 5.  Different handbell techniques are introduced along with more complicated rhythmic patterns.  They rehearse on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and participate in worship approximately every six weeks.   They also participate in the Christmas Eve Family Service. 


Rehearsals begin in September and end in mid June culminating in "Hallelujah for Handbells".

Ring masters

Ring Masters is a more advanced handbell choir for children entering 5th grade and above.  Though some experience in handbell ringing is helpful, all children are welcome to join and learn to ring.   Additional advanced handbell techniques are taught along with a higher difficulty of music as appropriate.   They participate in worship approximately every six weeks and also on Christmas Eve during the Family Service. 


Rehearsals are on Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and begin in September running into mid June and culminating in "Hallelujah for Handbells".

Concert Handbell Choir

Concert Handbell Choir is for the advanced young adult ringer, typically for high school and college students.  Ringers must be highly committed and available to ring on all principal church festivals including Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday.  They have toured the East Coast from Maine to Florida in the past as well as traveling to England twice, the second trip at invitation.  They ring on 5 octaves of handbells and 5-1/2 octaves of handchimes playing Level 4 music.


They rehearse every Sunday after sharing lunch together from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Rehearsals begin in September and end in mid June culminating in "Hallelujah for Handbells".
